Bone Graft

Bone grafting is a form of tissue engineering where we use varied techniques to grow more bone where there is not enough left after tooth loss. Most often, bone grafting is necessary when teeth are missing for longer period of time and jaw bone has lost its volume and the patient would like to have implants placed. It is natural for bone to shrink away in all dimensions when teeth are lost as there is no more reason for it to be there. When we are planning for implants to be placed in strategic positions and bone is lacking proper volume for the adequate implant size, we recommend bone grafting.
